Situation in the carpet settlement

[ Not part of Interbau ]
The second Haus Kirsten was not officially part of the Interbau planning and was not originally included on the list of Interbau structures. When the original building planned for this location—a single-family home by Werner Fauser—was not built, Kirsten erected this house for his own use after the completion of Haus Blumenthal in 1960. The in part two-storey single-family home with a complex floor plan opens towards the garden on the south and the west sides; on the street side it is shielded by the staggered outer walls and the upper floor built over the ground floor. The building closes the gap between Haus Blumenthal and the bungalow by Günter Hönow.
