The Bürgerverein Hansaviertel e.V. exclusively offers, until further notice, individually arranged tours through the Hansaviertel of Interbau.
Please send us your inquiry by mail. It is important for us to know the size of your group and any special interests you may have, along with your desired date.
Our tours start at the Berlin Pavillon (currently used by Burger King, Straße des 17. Juni, No. 100) at the S-Bahn station Tiergarten. Here you will find a short introduction on the origins of the Hansaviertel and its destruction during the war.
The construction of Stalinallee in the Soviet sector sparked an urban planning rivalry in Berlin, which led to the International Building Exhibition of 1957.
Armed with this information, we then start our tour (barrier-free) past the key buildings of Interbau. After about 2.5 hours, we finish the tour in front of the Academy of Arts (Akademie der Künste, S-Bahnhof Bellevue).
There will be the opportunity to use a toilet at the start and end of our tour.
As a civic association, we take the residents’ desire for privacy into consideration and do not offer visits to apartments. For a look behind the facades, there are photos and short videos available on this homepage.
The cost of the tours depends on the size of your group. Cash payment against receipt at the end of our tour has proven to be an efficient method.
We appreciate your interest and look forward to your inquiry!
